Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Empowering Communication. Celebrating Individuality. Making Therapy Accessible.
Welcome to My TherAbility, an NDIS-registered speech pathology provider based in Perth, Western Australia, delivering personalised telehealth speech pathology services to children, adolescents and adults across Australia.
Founded by a speech pathologist with over 10 years of clinical experience, My TherAbility was created with a simple vision: to make high-quality, individualised speech pathology accessible to everyone, regardless of their location or communication needs.
We believe that every individual deserves therapy that is designed around them, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our services are grounded in neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based and evidence-informed practices, focusing on meaningful communication, independence, confidence and everyday participation.

Our Story
Born From a Vision. Driven by Purpose. Connected Through Telehealth.
My TherAbility was founded on a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves access to quality speech pathology, regardless of where they live or the circumstances they face.
Our founder, Shivani Mohanlal, is a passionate speech pathologist with over 10 years of clinical experience supporting children, adolescents and adults with diverse communication needs.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Shivani recognised an important gap in the way speech pathology services were being delivered across Australia.
Many individuals and families were struggling to access the therapy they needed. For some, geographical distance and limited local services created significant barriers. For others, physical limitations, transportation difficulties, family commitments or simply feeling more comfortable in their own environment made traditional face-to-face appointments challenging.
What stood out most was that many NDIS participants had funding available in their plans but were still unable to access a speech pathologist.
Shivani believed that having access to therapy should not depend on someone's postcode, physical abilities, personal circumstances or proximity to a clinic.
This realisation inspired her vision to embrace telehealth as a meaningful and accessible way of delivering speech pathology services.
Bridging the Gap Through Telehealth
My TherAbility was developed with the goal of removing unnecessary barriers and connecting individuals and families with quality speech pathology services, wherever they may be in Australia.
Through telehealth, we can reach participants in metropolitan, regional and remote communities, offering flexible and personalised therapy from the comfort of their own homes or another environment where they feel safe and supported.
For Shivani, telehealth is more than a convenient alternative to traditional therapy. It is an opportunity to make speech pathology more inclusive, accessible and responsive to the needs of individuals and families.
More Than Just Therapy
Shivani's vision extends beyond simply providing online appointments.
She believes that every individual deserves therapy that is meaningful, personalised and centred around their unique strengths, needs and aspirations.
This philosophy inspired My TherAbility's approach to developing customised communication assessment forms, individualised therapy planning frameworks and practical daily therapy session tools.
These resources help us understand each individual beyond their diagnosis, create purposeful therapy goals and support the development of communication skills that make a genuine difference in everyday life.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
At the heart of My TherAbility is Shivani's commitment to advocating for equitable access to speech pathology.
We recognise that every individual and family has different circumstances, and we strive to ensure that geographical location, disability, mobility, cultural background or personal circumstances do not become unnecessary barriers to receiving support.
While telehealth may not be suitable for every individual or clinical need, we are committed to exploring accessible, flexible and person-centred options wherever possible.
Because access to communication support should be an opportunity available to everyone, not a privilege determined by circumstance.
Our Vision for the Future
As My TherAbility continues to grow, our mission
remains the same: to bridge gaps in access to speech pathology, empower individuals through meaningful communication and create a more connected and inclusive therapy experience across Australia.
One Vision. One Connection. Endless Possibilities.
My TherAbility — My Therapy, My Ability.
